Personal Experience

ilbert Kosgei is currently working as a research scientist, Ichthyology Section, National Museums of Kenya. He is also a PhD Student, University of Nairobi pursuing taxonomic studies of cyprinid genus Labeobarbus in Kenya. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Biology of Conservation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Botany/Zoology from the same University.

Gilbert Joined KENWEB in 2011 after his undergraduate studies. Since then he has participated in the group’s activities including biological surveys, data entry and management, report writing and awareness creation among others functions. He is also a beneficiary of Kenweb’s efforts in capacity building having been sponsored for his master’s studies. He is interested in fish taxonomy and systematics, aquatic ecology, biomonitoring, macroinvertebrates. He continues as a KENWEB peer-learning resource person in fisheries and wetland research.
